Monitor deployments from deployments page

Monitor deployment status, view detailed change logs, filter by status, and handle synchronization with Security Cloud Control Firewall Manager to track configuration changes effectively.

After deploying configuration changes to Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center-managed Firewall Threat Defense devices, you can monitor the status of the deployments and the details of the changes from the Deployments page.

Note

The Deployments page displays deployments performed through Security Cloud Control or the Public API only. Deployments performed using other methods are not listed.

Procedure

Step 1

Choose Operations > Deployments.

Step 2

Click the caret sign (>) for the deployment whose status you want to view. You can also use the Status search field to filter deployments by status.

Step 3

For a device with Deployment completed status, click Diff to view the configuration changes or click Transcript to view the record of the deployment execution.

Clicking Diff allows you to review the highlighted changes and copy configuration updates directly from the text file.

Click the device name to view the details on the Security Devices page. To synchronize your device configuration with the configuration changes made in Security Cloud Control Firewall Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Click Preview and Deploy… in the Not Synced section.

  2. In the Devices with Pending Changes page, review the changes and click Deploy now to deploy the changes.

    Click View All Deployments to go back to the Deployments page.

Step 4

For a device with Deployment failed status, click Details or the i icon to view the reasons for the failed deployment. Click the device name to view the details on the Security Devices page. To discard or retry deployment, follow these steps:

  1. In the Not Synced section, click Preview and Deploy… to retry deployment.

    Click Discard changes if you want to discard the changes

  2. In the Devices with Pending Changes page, review the changes and click Deploy now to deploy the changes.

    Click View All Deployments to go back to the Deployments page

Step 5

To view the configuration changes and the deployment status in the Change Log page, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Events & Logs > Logs > Change Log.

  2. Click the plus icon (+) next to the Last Updated column to view the status of the deployment.

  3. Click Diff to view the deployment changes.

You can track deployment status, view detailed change logs, identify completed or failed deployments, review configuration differences, retry or discard changes, and access deployment history for comprehensive monitoring of your device configurations.
